An opportunity is a potential deal with one of your accounts. Every opportunity belongs to exactly one account, so create the account first if it does not exist yet.
Create an opportunity
- Open Opportunities in the sidebar and click Create Opportunity. You can also use Create Opportunity under Quick Actions on the Dashboard, or Add Opportunity on an account page.
- Enter the Opportunity Name, choose the Account, and enter the Deal Value ($). These three are required.
- Optionally set Probability (%) (0–100, starts at 0), Stage (starts at Discovery), Close Date, and Owner.
- Click Create Opportunity. You are taken to the new opportunity's page.
Fields
| Field | Required | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Opportunity Name | Yes | A short name for the deal, for example "Acme – Enterprise plan". |
| Account | Yes | The company the deal is with. |
| Deal Value ($) | Yes | The total value of the deal in dollars. |
| Probability (%) | No | Your estimate of the chance of winning, from 0 to 100. |
| Stage | No | Where the deal is in the pipeline. See Opportunity stages. |

| Owner | No | The name of the person responsible for the deal. |
Edit or delete an opportunity
Open the opportunity and click Edit, change the details, and click Save Changes. When editing, Probability (%) is required. To remove a deal, click Delete and then Delete Opportunity.
Deleting an opportunity also deletes the meetings associated with it. This cannot be undone.
